Cockroach:- The life cycle of cockroaches can be divided into 3 stages: Eggs, nymphae and imago. The appearance of nymphae is similar to that of imago while they have relatively smaller sizes, without wings and reproduction ability. Cockroaches live in any places where they can find food, no matter indoors or outdoors. They prefer dark, humid and warm environment. They hide in gaps and cracks at daytime and are active at nighttime.
- Cockroaches normally appear in warmer regions, mostly in tropical regions, while some species would appear all over the world.
- The most common types of cockroaches in Hong Kong are German cockroaches, American cockroaches, and Australian cockroaches, etc.
Threats of Cockroach:
- Cockroaches can survive in any environments and climatic conditions because they have high adaptive ability. Since their sizes are relatively larger than termites and ants, they may cause serious damages to your buildings, food, properties or other materials.
- If they touch your food, they can leave contaminants which may lead to diseases. Certain individuals may even develop in allergic symptoms and subsequently fall ill.
